Gate City Baptist Church's purpose is to develop committed followers of Jesus Christ. As a church we have three interrelated priorities to help us become and develop followers of Jesus. Our three priorities are Knowing Christ, Growing in Christ, and Showing Christ to others. We would love to have you join us as we show Christ to other people through our attitudes, words, and actions.
Our statement of mission, Knowing Christ, Growing in Christ, and Showing Christ, is more than just a catchy phrase. We hope that it gives you insight into just who we are. Jesus Christ reached out to people of all ages and backgrounds, and we at Gate City Baptist Church desire to do the same. No matter what your stage of life or ethnicity, you will find among us a mutual desire in coming to know Christ, getting to know Christ better, growing in your relationship with God, and opportunities to serve God and others. We have groups available through which every person can study the Scriptures, develop friendships, and bless others through numerous opportunities. We invite you to be a part of the blessings of God in the life of our church. Small groups meet each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. for an informal and personal study of the Bible. Then at 10:45 we join together to sing, study and learn practical truth from the Bible. There is a Children's Church Program following our announcements and songs each Sunday morning. There is also Bible Study and prayer time each Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. Attire at all services is casual. We look forward to meeting you!
